NEWBORN SESSIONS

Clean. Pure. Timeless

At Jaclyn Noelle Photography, newborn sessions are guided by refined simplicity. We use soft natural and artificial  light, minimalist styling, and organic props, gentle textures, neutral tones, and elements drawn from nature to create images that feel timeless and true. Posing is calm and compassionate, focused on the intimate gestures and subtle expressions that define your baby’s earliest days.

We recommend scheduling newborn sessions within 7-10 days of birth to achieve sleepy poses.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The studio recommends booking during the second trimester. Newborn sessions are scheduled around your due date, and early booking secures a session in the ideal window. Once the baby arrives, the studio confirms an exact date within the first two weeks.

  • The ideal window is seven to ten days after birth. At this age newborns still sleep deeply, curl naturally into the poses associated with classic newborn portraiture, and have the smooth, serene look that defines the final images.

  • Plan on 2-3 hours. The session runs at the baby’s pace — feeding, soothing, and wardrobe changes are all part of the day. Parents are welcome to rest, feed, and settle in while the baby sleeps through most of the posing.

  • Yes. The studio is kept warm — around 74 degrees — and every surface, prop, and pose is planned for safety first.

  • The newborn session is scheduled a week after due date. Once the baby is here, the studio confirms a session within the ideal two-week window. Early arrivals and late arrivals are both accommodated as a matter of course.

  • Yes. Sibling and parent portraits are a natural part of every newborn session. The studio builds in a specific portion of the day for family posing before or after the solo baby portraits, so older children aren’t waiting through the full session.
