Frequently Asked Questions

  • Most couples schedule the engagement session in the season opposite to their wedding, so the images feel like a complement rather than a rehearsal. Six to nine months before the wedding is common — early enough to use images for save-the-dates.

  • Anywhere meaningful to the couple — a favorite town, beach, estate, or the place they met. The studio also recommends curated locations across Long Island’s North Shore and the Hamptons that photograph particularly well for engagement work.

  • Wardrobe is discussed in the pre-session consultation. Most couples bring one polished look and one more relaxed look, coordinated in palette without matching exactly.

  • No. Engagement sessions are available as a standalone booking, and many couples book the engagement separately before deciding on their wedding photography.

  • Yes. The studio times the gallery reveal and turnaround so save-the-date images are ready well ahead of a typical mail-by date. Custom save-the-date design is available on request.

  • The session begins with conversation and movement, not posing. Couples are given loose direction — how to walk together, how to stand close, what to do with hands — and the final images come from the interaction in between.
